About the event
AWS Student Community Days (formerly known as Student Symposia) are one-day,student-led events where the content and logistics are organised and planned by Cloud Club Captains. With content focusing on AWS skills and career advice, Student Community Days are a way to bring AWS learning onto campus, startups and other builder communities.
AWS Cloud Club Student Community Day Uniuyo 2026 is the first ever Student Community Day in the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Led by the captains of AWS Cloud Club - Uniuyo, DivineJustice Samuel and Queen Bassey, the event aims to:

Expected Number of Attendees Onsite:
We anticipate a total of 300 attendees at a minimum, including volunteers, speakers, and participants, with a maximum expected total of 500+ attendees(Including those watching Online).

Divinejustice SamuelMy name is DivineJustice Samuel, and I currently lead as the AWS Student Builder Group leader, Uniuyo, a student technology community focused on cloud computing, innovation, and developer growth within the University of Uyo and the broader tech ecosystem in Akwa Ibom State.
Over time, we’ve built a growing community of students, developers, and young tech enthusiasts through workshops, technical sessions, hands-on learning programs, and community-driven initiatives focused on AWS cloud technologies and emerging tech.
Our goal is bigger than just organizing events. We are working towards building a strong technology culture among students and helping young people gain globally relevant digital skills that can create opportunities locally and internationally.
AWS Student Community Day is one of the major initiatives we are organizing to bring together:

- and aspiring cloud engineers
for learning, networking, collaboration, and innovation.
For us, this is not just another student event. We are intentionally building a platform that can grow into a long-term technology movement and ecosystem within the state.
